I want to buy Sensobi Pro, but I cannot or do not want to purchase through App World

Please see our alternative payment guide for options.

What devices do you support?

Sensobi is currently available for any BlackBerry handset that is on OS 4.5 or above (OS 5.0 or above for the BlackBerry Storm).

Sensobi is not yet available for other platforms at this time, but we’re taking requests :-) .

What countries do you support?

Sensobi is currently built for users in North America. Although we don’t formally support overseas users just yet, we do have a number of people using Sensobi in various international locations.

Does Sensobi work with BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)?

Yes, Sensobi works with both BES and BIS.

How does it work with my existing BlackBerry address book?

We've worked hard to integrate seamlessly with your BlackBerry. You can do anything with Sensobi that you can with your existing address book. If you add/edit/delete a contact in Sensobi or the default address book, we'll reflect the changes in the other. If you sync your contacts with your PC Desktop Manager or Microsoft Exchange, Sensobi will pick up those changes as well. Many of our users have already replaced the default Address Book with Sensobi and haven't looked back.

How does Sensobi use my information?

We take our customers' privacy very seriously. We only report on your aggregate usage of the application, e.g., how many contacts you have, and how many calls, emails, texts between yourself and your contacts you make. We also report on which screens you open within our application. We do not record any details of your contacts or the content of any calls, emails, or text messages. We do not share any of your information with outside parties.

If you'd like, you can read our full Privacy Policy.

In short, we live and die by your trust that we handle such sensitive data with all due respect and care.

How do I download and install Sensobi?

You can download Sensobi at http://share.sensobi.com. Once the download has completed, you should see the Sensobi icon appear on your “Home” screen or in the “Downloads” folder. To move the icon from the “Downloads” folder to the “Home” screen, click on “Menu” then “Move to Folder.”

The first time you click on the Sensobi icon, it will run an initial setup process to index all of your previous calls, texts, and emails. It should take approximately 1 to 4 minutes to complete the syncing of your calls and text messages, with e-mails continuing to load in the background for another 2-3 minutes. (Note: syncing times will vary based on your number of contacts and communications.)

How does the search bar work?

The search bar allows you to search for an individual contact without scrolling through your entire address book. It can predict which contacts you’re looking for while you’re typing to help speed up your search. Sensobi automatically lists your active contacts first based on your past communication patterns even if there are multiple contacts with the same first or last name.

What information is displayed on Sensobi’s “Home” screen?

On the “Home” screen, Sensobi shows all of your contacts in alphabetical order along with the date and time of your last call, text, or email with each person. Contacts that you had recent communications with in the last 30 days will appear at the top in alphabetical order and in bold font.

What information is displayed by clicking on each contact?

After clicking on a contact, Sensobi will display the date of your last communication with this person or your next scheduled communication (if ranked). It also shows their summary contact information and a history of your calls, texts, and emails. You can click on each of these messages to get a full view of the message contents.

The tabs at the bottom of the screen give you the option to email, call, or text the person directly within the application as well as rank their priority and see more detailed contact information.

What is ranking? How do I use it?

Ranking is a feature in Sensobi that allows you to set regular reminders to contact someone. Currently, you can set a reminder for every week, month, or 3 months. To rank a contact, click on a name in your address book and move the scroll wheel to the right to highlight the “rank” tab. After clicking on this tab, select the desired timeframe for a reminder. The contact is then flagged with a red, yellow, or green dot along with a follow-up date based on the timing of your last communication.

What do the Red/ Yellow/ Green dots represent?

Red dots indicate that you missed a call or are behind schedule on your communications with this person, yellow dots indicate that you are approaching your scheduled date, and green dots indicate that you are up to date with this contact.

Note: unranked contacts will not display a scheduled reminder or color-coded dots.

How does "importance" work?

You can sort your contacts by importance. Each contact's importance is based on the number of points you have collected for that person. Every time you communicate with that person - or that person communicates with you - you win points. (Yes, you literally are scoring points with people for calling them). Naturally, reaching out to people wins you more points than waiting for them to contact you. But wait! If you don't keep talking to them, you will gradually lose those points too.

What does the “todo” tab do?

The “alert” tab is another method of viewing your contacts. By clicking on it, you are able to see all of your contacts sorted by their order of priority (ranking) starting with red, yellow, and then green dots as well as the next time you are scheduled to talk with them. Unranked contacts are displayed below in alphabetical order with no reminder details. The “alert” tab is a quick way to see which contacts are falling off your radar and require a follow-up.

What is the “share” tab?

The “share” tab allows you to quickly email friends from your BlackBerry telling them about Sensobi. We greatly appreciate you spreading the word on our behalf!

Can I customize the application and set preferences?

We’re currently assessing options for customization and may add some functionality in a future release…stay tuned!

How do I update my software to the latest version

From the main screen of the app, click on the Menu button and select "Check for Update." If an update is available, a download button will appear.

Other Notes

  • Text message history: we cannot track any text messages sent or received before the installation of the application. In addition, we have seen on certain phones running on CDMA networks that we cannot track outbound text messages.
